Axial Flux Alternators Hurricane Wind Power Reviews"Air Boss" Generators
Hurricane Wind Power Reviews Wind Power performance and The Axial Flux Permanent Magnet Alternator, PMA, APMA or Generator depending which you prefer. We are not really the uppity type here and will not spill the ink to correct anyone who wants to call it what they will.....The spinny think that makes the power is completely fine with us and that's how we want to keep it. One of my biggest turn offs with the "wind power" business is the constant elitist bantering. We will keep it simple and please check the egos at the door. That includes my own and we are receptive to feedback. Which is why when I have been fortunate enough to work with the folks at AERCO American Energy Research Company we at Hurricane have been receptive to the idea of others and may I say they are some very talented people. They put their heart and sole into bring off their lines a 100 percent quality controlled products that we are happy to partner with to proliferate the Axial Flux Permanent Magnet technology to the public as what we call the "Perfect Storm" in more ways than one at Hurricane. All of the right pieces of the puzzle had to come together and the result is a team that produces a product more efficient, powerful, and reliable than traditional radial designs on the market. In summary just say no to imports, pulleys, chains, gears, and redneck engineering.....no offense we love them to.
AIR BOSS Axial Flux Permanant Magnet Alternator Generator
On a sad not I have to advise the sonsumers on Hurricane Wind Power...if your Airfoil, VAWT, Wind Turbine, Cabage Shooter, or any other contraption even if conceptualized by Wylie Coyote himself will not product enought power measure in Ft/lb's, Newtons, ect to produce 1400 watts.....the Air Boss will not perform a magic trick. 45 Ft lb and 140 RPM or 90 will bring 1.4 and 2.8 KW as previously mentioned...just a reminder here
Other Services Available
INVENTOR SERIES
- As an additional part of our Inventor Series products and services we now can supply custom air core axial style stator coil windings.
- These are produced on our semi-automated coil winder ensuring turn count, wire tension and volume consistency.
- Coils from 14 gauge to 26 gauge can be manufactured using a customer supplied former (mold required for coil) or one fabricated to customer specifications by the AERCO R&D department.
- Coils are shipped only after passing several quality assurance tests and are bar coded as a matched set.
- Individual specifications sheets describing each coil’s measured characteristics are shipped along with your order.
- To produce quality axial permanent magnet alternators you must start with the most consistently wound and perfectly matched set of windings available.
More to follow on axial technology

Hurricane Wind Power Reviews Power Ratings
Hurricane Wind Power reviews power ratings seeks level playing field
PRLog (Press Release) - Sep 07, 2012
-
Hurricane Wind Power owner Anthony Jones announced today that after reviewing the state of the wind energy industry power rating that all Hurricane Wind Power products will now report data on all wind turbines and permanent magnet alternators, PMA's or generators in several new and comprehensive formats. In the past few years various groups have created customer confusion and a lack of confidence in purchasing wind power products.
Methods of rating wind power products have existed on a continuum of outright lies to bending the truth in order to make a product look good according to Jones . The state of wind power performance reporting has become a farce, which Hurricane wishes to distance itself from. Jones spoke of a California based company which rates its wind turbines at 1500 watts but is careful to put in the qualifier that this output was rated at 70 mile per hour winds, "This is ridiculous" the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and widely respected organizations such as the American Wind Energy Association have clearly stated that the rated wind speed for output is 11 meters per second or 24.6 miles per hour.
Jones went on to explain that in the past few years the "do it yourself" movement in wind power often expressed power output represented simply by measuring open voltage multiplied by shorted amps that estimated a power output at a given generator RPM. These methods are outdated and Hurricane is adhering to the standard of the AWEA and NREL with its wind turbines. As well Jones went on to state that instantaneous ratings which can be most easily understood as a "flash" power rating or power that is not sustained should not be used as a rated power output either. Some companies even on the commercial level as American Wind Energy Association members still advertise instantaneous output ratings as their "rated performance" . PMA's from Hurricane will also carry
expected wattage output from Newton Meters or Foot Lbs torque input from the
source or airfoil
In the poor economic state of the nation as well as worldwide Jones expressed the sentiment that while sales may be lost in the short term due to the flashy high watt output ads of some. He is confident a long term solid business model should be founded upon the principles of openness, honesty, trust and consumer confidence. In uncertain time people must know that the performance for the money or ROI return on investmentmakessense.Visit us at http://www.hurricanewindpower.com ;
